For anyone curious about why this website is here, let me explain.

The Motivation: A Portfolio Page

I wanted to create a space to showcase my work. Whether it’s through GitHub or hosting on a server, having a portfolio is essential for any programmer/IT guy aiming to prove their value in the industry. This platform allows me to highlight projects like this one.

The Purpose: Connecting with You

This website is designed to connect with those interested in freelance opportunities or looking to hire someone skilled. It’s my digital showcase of work, ready for you to explore.

Choosing Hugo: Why I Went This Route

Instead of diving into the complexities of DIY web development, where one might quickly become a full-stack developer, it was more efficient to use Hugo. Hugo is user-friendly, free, and perfect for someone who prefers working on backend tasks and trying to beat Linux into obedience.

As for why some posts are older, life happens! From resolving monitor issues with Linux setups to juggling school, work etc. things can get rather busy. But here we are now, with the site complete… hopefully. [15.3.2026 went live!]

Why Not Webhosting?

The decision to use Hugo over traditional web hosting was influenced by several factors:

  • Lack of Immediate Knowledge: I wasn’t ready for the complexities involved.
  • No Urgent Need: At the time, there was no pressing reason to establish a formal portfolio.
  • Freedom and Flexibility: Using Hugo allowed me to create without the constraints of traditional web hosting.

Honestly. With friends in high school we were making website for someone, and that certain someone wanted the cheapest option there was. TL;DR, I don’t have exactly great experience with webhosting.

Because this website is more or less a digital folder of my projects with my insights, I just called the shot and used Hugo instead.
